READING NOTES: MAHABHARATA PART B

 The story is about the incarnation of Draupadi who has five husbands and hears a story from Vyasa as to why.

A woman whose name is Nalayani found a husband and they were very happy together. However, her husband Maudgalya felt tired of the marriage one day and he left her. He basically told her that she would be reborn as the daughter of the king Drupada and she would end up having five husbands. Nalayani wasn't happy with this and she spoke to Shankara. He said something similar stating that she would be born as a high class women and would have five husbands. Nalayani thought it was crazy how she would have five husbands.
