Reading Notes: Rama and Sita Part B
For this week, I chose to do a reading over the Ramayana and about Rama and Sita specifically. My notes over the part B reading include.....
- Rama explored with his wife Sita during his banishment
- Lakshmana was seen by Bharat with his army to save Rama and tell him that his exile was over
- Rama wanted to fulfill his promise to stay in exile in which he really didn't see a reason for him to return
- To persuade him to go back he was told that he should go back to become king and that his father had died
- He still did not change his mind and still did not want to return
- Funeral for his father was held in the forest
- Ravana screed about how Sita did a lot of bad things
- He said that he was going to kill her so Sita sat and prepared for her death
- Suparshva held Ravana back and told him that Sita was not the enemy and that his enemy was on the battlefield
- His enemy was Rama
